Now this is how you do a protective, possessive, alpha male without turning him to a domineering, controlling asshole. Jace was UNF straight from the first glimpse of him we got. I also really loved Hayden. My one and only complaint was this was just too short. I wanted more from them, more of their history.This trope--best friends to lovers--is a favorite of mine, especially when done well. Ms. Day certainly did it well.
