While this book kept me intrigued enough to read it in a day, the entire thing sort of fell short for me. It was like we had this huge build up and then...it fizzled. Not to mention one of my biggest pet peeves in books: regardless if it is part of a series or not, each book should be able to stand independently and have all (or at least a vast majority) of the questions answered that were brought to life within the book. And while we did find out a lot of details by the end, there were an equal number left unanswered. The only good thing is that I only have to wait a week for the sequel.
