Hearts in Darkness

Hearts in Darkness - Laura Kaye 3.5 starsThis was a surprisingly good and short read. I really loved both characters and could see them both so clearly in my mind. I appreciated the fact that the darkness in the elevator heightened their descriptions, and I think the author handled that beautifully. With the exception of some unrealistic verbiage on behalf of Caden (bottom? rear? really?), my only real problem with this book was the rehashing in both POVs. This story was so short to begin with, I don't want to waste precious space reiterating what we should already be able to know from a single POV. That's what caused me to round my rating down instead of up. Even still, both characters in this make this a fun, easy read. And the sexy times didn't hurt, either.
