Twice Bitten (Chicagoland Vampires Series #3)

Twice Bitten - Chloe Neill 2.5 starsThree books into this series and I STILL don't like the hero. When will we see some redeeming qualities come out of him? So far it's been a whole shitton of too little, too late. And Merit? For all she talks a big talk, she doesn't walk the walk. She needs to get some more backbone, suck it up, and give Ethan a taste of his own medicine, rather than being at his beck and call.Repetition is still repetitive, clothes descriptions still happen at the introduction of every single character in any given scene, but I've begun skimming giant chunks of text, so I think that bumped the rating for this up since I wasn't bored to tears. In any other instance, I'd flounce the series because I just am not that interested in what happens to either of these characters (now, Catcher and Mallory? That's a different story. Can we please have a book about them?), but the flailing over the end of book 4 has me curious, so on I trudge.
